ABOUT

Ike Seungik Lee, the founder of STARSICA MODULAR, studied Sculpture at Seoul National University and completed his MA in Fashion at Kingston University London. He made his debut at London Fashion Week after being selected for Fashion Scout’s “Ones to Watch” awards.
Through his collections, he expanded the invisible spatial order and structural logic explored in sculpture into fashion, investigating how clothing can become a medium that reorganizes the relationship between the body and the world.
The concept of STARSICA originates from “Star Seeker,” referring to one who observes the movement of stars to understand the structure and principles of the world. For humanity, star observation was never a matter of simple curiosity; it was a sophisticated intellectual and technical activity used to measure time and seasons and to sustain the continuity of civilizations. This perspective frames the act of wearing as a cultural and social tool for understanding human experience, forming the philosophical foundation for interpreting clothing as a functional device.
This philosophical basis later expanded into Modular Engineering, a technical framework that views clothing as a technologically evolvable system and reinterprets it as a physical interface mediating between the body and the world.
Building upon this technical philosophy and integrating the applied technologies of Modular Engineering, STARSICA MODULAR aims not merely to produce garments but ultimately to develop clothing as a device that generates future social value.
